Strangely, machine 1 (that is also a Lenovo laptop but with only a discrete GeForce G210M graphics card), is not affected as such and I can freely manage it with TeamViewer with the lid closed or open. Both machines have the same display settings. Right click on the TeamViewer icon to display the context sensitive menu as seen below. Click on Options from the menu. In the resulting window, remove the checkmark (if it exists) to the left of the Start TeamViewer with Windows option. This option is for unattended access. Once done, click the OK button.
I have a problem with TeamViewer since build 9879. When I try to remote control the computer I get this error: 'The screen cannot be captured at the moment.
This is probably due to fast user switching or a disconnected/minimized remote desktop session.' (on an otherwise black screen) I've tried updating my TeamViewer 9 to the latest 10 beta but same issue. I can sometimes see the Windows login screen, but as soon as I've entered my password I get the error. I don't seem to be the only one with this issue since 9879: Does anyone else have the same issue? Connecting form any version of windows Linux or phone is the same problem but connecting out is fine the desktop with win 10 that your connecting to is flashing like mad or like it has a refresh rate of 3 fps this is a problem for me to from the last update this is a problem on the last update i tried re-installing team-view 6-10 and this is a same problem before all was working and now noting:) this is some thing i can find a fix for on my side.
Same issue here, only seems to be affecting Teamviewer though. I've also used GoToAssist and this works fine (but soooooo sloooooow). I get the message you've described on first connection, but then it clears and I get the lock screen which I can get past through to login. It's only once the password is entered that I get nothing but a black screen (though the mouse pointer seems to indicate that something is happening on the machine being connected to. The only time I've been sat at the machine being connected to the screen would begin to flicker very fast, but I have no idea how that info helps with diagnosis. This resolved the issue for me: As workaround, you can create the registry Key 'DisableDuplicationAPI' as Dword and value 1 under HKEYLOCALMACHINE-SOFTWARE-WOW6432NODE-TEAMVIEWER on the Windows 10 computer. After a restart of the service TeamViewer (under Services.msc), you should be able to reconnect without any issue. Tried with win 10 9879 and TV 10.x and does not resolve the issue. Opened a ticket with Team viewer I have found that installing the Team viewer video driver (in advanced settings) seems to make it only happen occasionally so TV can be used.
